M. KATHERINE BRIMBERRY

M. Katherine Brimberry, 89 of Palestine, IL, died April 21, 2006 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson. She was born February 22, 1917 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Joe and Alice (Biggs) Brimberry. She was a secretary for the Palestine School District for 39 years, and was a member of the Palestine First Christian Church.

She is survived by her sister, Naomi Brown, Lincoln, IL; 2 nephews, Rick Kitchell, Bloomington, IL and Larry Oaks, Vicksburg, MS; 6 nieces, Judith Garrard, Palestine, Connie Brenzing, Chicago, IL, Aliceann Mueller, Falls Church, VA, Elaine Woolard, Lincoln, IL, Linda Biernbaum, Katy, TX, Katherine Keslin, Crown Point, IN; 13 great nieces and nephews; and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Geneva Oaks in 1986, Florence Shedelbower in 2002, and Virginia Kitchell in 2003.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be before the service on Tuesday, from 12-2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Palestine First Christian Church or the Palestine Public Library, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
