ROB CRAVENS

Robert M. Cravens, 35 of Robinson, IL, died at his home at 9:43 a.m., Friday, November 24, 2006 following a fight with cancer for the past several months. He was born December 31, 1970 in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, the son of Floyd Leon and Margaret Ann Berger Cravens.

Rob served with the Crawford County Sheriff's Department for the past 8 years and part time for the Robinson Police Department. He was a member of the Robinson First Christian Church Disciples of Christ; the Norman T. Richards Fraternal Order of Police and was active in sports in Crawford County.

He married Karen M. Tracy on August 20, 2005 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Robert M. Cravens, Jr. and his daughter Jayden Leigh Cravens, Robinson; his parents, Floyd Leon and Margaret Cravens, Robinson; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard L. and Marsha Cravens, Robinson; his niece and nephews, Richard L. Cravens, Jr., Robinson, Staci, Brad, and Bryan Lachenmayr, Robinson; his brothers-in-law, Jason Tracy Robinson, and Craig Tracy Palestine; and several aunts, uncles and cousins and "Boss".

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lillian Berger

A memorial service will be conducted at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 28th. Glen Parker is in charge of services. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to service time at 7:30 p.m on Tuesday. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, December 1st at the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Robinson American Legion Post #69 Baseball program with envelopes available at the funeral home.
