ERMA LUCILLE CURTISS
Erma Lucille Curtiss, 78, Robinson, IL died at 1:45 a.m. e.s.t. Monday, September 4, 2006 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She was born August 3, 1928 in Hervey City, IL, the daughter of Ira Coleman Shelby and Alveretta Pool Shelby. She was a member of the Westchester Church of the Nazarene, Westchester, OH and attended the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Robinson.
She married Lewis E. Curtiss March 28, 1947 and he survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Rev. David Lynn and Sarah Curtiss, Kansas City, MO, 2 grandchildren; Erin Curtiss and John Brenner, Seattle, WA and Megan and Esteban Calel, Philadelphia, PA, 2 great-grandchildren; Ezra and Maceo Benner, Seattle, WA, 3 brothers; Bill and Beth Shelby, Henderson, KY, Harold and Pat Shelby, Robinson and Clyde Shelby, Fairfield, IL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers; Ira Jr., Bobby Gene, Leslie Eugene and Richard Lynn Shelby and her sister; Lucinda DaVolt.
Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. David L. Curtiss and Rev. Bill Wiggs officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, IL at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2006.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene Work and Witness, Westchester, OH with envelopes available at the funeral home.
