JOSEPH MAX HOUSER

Joseph Max Houser, age 65 of Palestine, IL, died at 5:44 p.m. on November 1, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. He was born October 14, 1941 in Palestine, the son of Max and Bernice (Moore) Houser. He worked for 31 years at General Telephone, Hobart, IN.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Marlene Russell, Palestine, Barbara Hanley, Lincoln, IL; his sister-in-law, Kiva Houser, Tuscola; several nieces and nephews.

Joe married Jennie Wierman on July 5, 1967 and she preceded him in death on October 24, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother James Houser; and his sister, Marilyn Wesner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
