MARJORIE MAY LANKSTON

Marjorie May Lankston, 98, of Palestine, IL, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. She was born May 20, 1908 in Honey Creek Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of William Chester Reynolds and Sarah Harriett Kisner Reynolds. She was a housewife and a member of the First Christian Church, Palestine, IL.

She married Wilber M. Lankston November 9, 1929 and he preceded her in death May 21, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Pamela Rae Purcell; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; and her son-in-law, Jack Purcell on September 26, 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Nelda Purcell, Palestine; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Deanna and Tim Behrman, Edgewood, IL, Brenda and Rusty Mitchell, Hartford City, IN, Tonda and David Summers, Altamont; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2006 at the First Christian Church, Palestine. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 11th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
