LARRY H. LEWIS

Larry H. Lewis, 59, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, September 4, 2006 at his residence. He was born November 28, 1946 in Robinson, IL, the son of Kent V. Lewis and Mary Frances Howe Lewis. He attended Culver Military Academy, Vincennes University, and Southern Illinois University. He was past president and member of the Robinson Chamber of Commerce and former board member of the First National Bank, Robinson. He was a member of the Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, Robinson American Legion Post #69, Robinson Masonic Lodge #250, Danville Consistory, Ainad Shrine Temple, Crawford County Shrine Club, Quail Creek Country Club, and Crawford County A.B.A.T.E. He served in the Air National Guard. He was Publisher of the Robinson Daily News and Lawrenceville Daily Record since 1975.

He married Kathleen Beeman December 10, 1982 and she survives. He is also survived by his 2 daughters, Keely V. Lewis, Chicago and Deborah L. Cashmore, Auckland, New Zealand; 2 granddaughters, Kendall and Georgia Cashmore, Auckland, New Zealand; his mother, Mary F. Whittinghill, Winter Haven, FL; his brother, Wood V. Lewis, Albuquerque, NM; his step-sister, Mrs. Gerald (Darra) Knott, Columbus, OH; his step-brother and his wife, F. T. and Jody Whittinghill III, Houston, TX; his aunt, Helen Howe, Robinson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ivan and Ruth Beeman, Mesa, AZ; his brother-in-law and his wife, Larry & Wendy Beeman, Sun Lakes, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be cremation with services at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
