WALLACE E. MARTIN

Wallace E. Martin, 86, of Robinson, IL, died at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1920 in Reynolds County, Missouri the son of Emery Martin and Daisy Randolph Martin. He retired as an Aviation Metal Smith in the U. S. Navy.

He married Oma "Imogene" Price August 20, 1943 and she survives. He is also survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Phyllis and Gary Michael, Robinson, Barbara Martin, Robinson; his 2 sons, Jerry Lee Martin, Tampa, FL, Price Daniel Martin, Melbourne, FL; 7 grandchildren, including locally by his grandson, Terry Michael, Palestine; 7 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Lorraine Martin, Robinson, Dail and Sue Martin, CA, Billy and Yolanda Martin, Griffith, IN; his sister, Gloria Staat, Wichita, KA; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Garry Paul Martin; twin sisters, Faye Martin and Mae White; and his brother, Angus Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 4th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. John White and Rev. Dennis Burns officiating. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:30 to service time at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Military graveside services will be conducted by the combined units of AmVets Post #33, Robinson American Legion Post #69, Flat Rock American Legion Post #132 and Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549. Memorials may be made to the Oblong Library or to the Robinson American Legion Post #69 baseball program.
