DICK D. PETHEL

Dick D. Pethtel, 66 of Hawk Point, MO, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 1:39 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the Lincoln County Memorial Medical Center in Troy, MO. He was born October 27, 1939 in Robinson, the son of Gay Pethtel and Nina LaVerne Inboden Pethtel York. He was a Boilermaker and belonged to the St. Louis Local #27. He was also in the U. S. Marines and; was a member of Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549 and was a member of the Sportsman Club in Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by 3 daughters and his son-in-law, Tammi Smith, Doolittle, MO, Tanya Pethtel, Herman, MO, Lacy and Darrin Justus, Hawk Point, MO; 2 grandchildren, Cord Smith, Doolittle, MO and Shyan McKee, Herman, MO; his step grandson, Cole Justus, Hawk Point, MO. He is also survived by his mother, Nina Laverne Pethtel York, Robinson; 6 brothers and sisters-in-law, Winifred and Patricia Pethtel, Robinson, Dwight and Nina Pethtel, Robinson, Duane and Eldodene Pethtel, Central City, KY, Thomas and Barbara Pethtel, Robinson, Ricky and Linda Pethtel, Palestine, Craig and Sandra York, Palestine; his sister and brother-in-law, Gayla and Allen Ray Alspach, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 16th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Daniel Szombathy will be in charge of services. Burial is in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 15th.
