WINFRED G. PETHTEL

Winfred G. (Winnie) Pethtel, 74, of Stoy, IL, died at 1:57 p.m. (E.S.T.) Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born September 8, 1932 in Hardinville, IL, the son of Wilfred Gay Pethtel and Nina Inboden Pethtel. He was a fifty year member and retired from Labor Local #1280 in 1985. He was a business manager from 1969 to 1974. He was a 32nd. Degree Scottish Rites Mason of Danville, IL.

He married Patricia Ann Newlin February 2, 1950 and she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Nina York, Robinson; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Mike Hanson, Robinson, Cathy and Bruce Meadows, Stoy, Lori and Randy Wartsbaugh, Stoy; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwight and Nina Pethtel, Robinson, Duane and Eldagene Pethtel, Central City, KY, Tom and Barbara Pethtel, Robinson, Rick and Linda Pethtel, Palestine, Craig and Sandra York, Palestine; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Gayla and Ray Alspach, Hardinville; 2 brothers-in-law and spouses, Harlin and Linda Newlin, Hutsonville, Jim and Marilyn Newlin, Flat Rock; 1 sister-in-law and spouse, Tom and Carolyn Dennis, Stoy; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; an infant daughter, Carlene Jean Pethtel; 2 granddaughters in infancy; and his brother, Dick Pethtel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastors Dan Szombathy and Rick Catt officiating. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 26th. at the funeral home.
