James Allen Ragland, 74 of Robinson died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday October 24, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born October 10, 1932 in Troy, AL, the son of Jackson Edgar Ragland and Bessie Jewel McKinney Ragland. He served in the U. S. Air Force for 17 years. He worked at E. H. Baare for 21 years and worked at Stewart Security for 10 years.
He was a member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, Robinson American Legion Post #69, and Bass Masters.
He married Linda Mendenhall May 26, 1984 and she preceded him in death April 17, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and 1 sister.
He is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Allen York, Robinson, Kellie and Gary Zych, Shawnee, KS; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, John and Melody Barrick, Olney, and Mark and Jeanie Ragland, Kansas; and 9 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Pastor David Vaughn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Wildlife Fish and Game % Sam Parr State Park with envelopes available at the funeral home.
