WILLIAM RILEY RAMSEY

William Riley Ramsey, 63 of Flat Rock, IL, died at 4:46 a.m. (E.S.T.) Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born November 5, 1942 in LaPorte, IN, the son of William Harry Ramsey and Mable Louise Meeks Ramsey. He served in the Army National Guard. He worked at Victor Dana from 1968-2004, was a member and President of IAM Union, and member of the Robinwood Assembly of God.

He is survived by his father, William H. Ramsey, Lawrenceville Manor, Lawrenceville, IL; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kim Ramsey, Flat Rock, Charles Ramsey and Jeri Burger, Lawrenceville; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Keneipp and Brad Abbott, Decatur; his close friend, Sue Beard, Palestine; and 5 grandchildren, Steven Ramsey, Justin Cowles, Jackie and Myra Ramsey, and Alex Knotts.

He was preceded in death by his mother; 2 sisters, Patricia Fowler and Rebecca Arnold; and 3 grandchildren, Nicolas, Christopher, and Gaberial Ramsey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 6th at the Robinwood Assembly of God Church, Robinson with Pastor James Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, October 5th at Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson and from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Robinwood Assembly of God Church.
