MARTHA G. RICH

Martha G. Rich, 93 of rural Robinson, IL, died at 2:42 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born April 26, 1913 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Ernest E. Wesley and Leoline Reynolds Wesley.

Martha was a homemaker; a member of the South Union Church; the Prayer Circle; the Ladies Aide; Crawford County Home Extension; Katherine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; and attended Lincoln Trail College for over 30 years in Water Aerobics. She was also recognized for her 16 years of volunteer service to the Crawford County Clothing Center in 2001.

She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Wayne and Iona Rich, Flat Rock, Jeffrey and Linda Rich, rural Robinson; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Jim Stewart, Robinson, Alice Ann Tennyson, rural Robinson, Peggy and Earl Garrard, Robinson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her brother, Randall Wesley, Flat Rock; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Murray, Robinson; a special nephew, Glenn Wesley; a special friend, Teresa Nash; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Chester O. Rich who she married February 25, 1933 and preceded her in death on November 3, 1980. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lulu Christine Rich; her grandson, Randy Tennyson, and 2 brothers, Dorsey Wesley and Wilbur Wesley.

Funeral services will be held at the South Union Church Saturday, August 26th at 10:30 a.m. Brother Jack Cunningham is in charge of services. Burial is in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is at the church from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 25th. The family requests that memorials be made to the South Union Church or to the organization of the donor's choice, in lieu of flowers.
