MARY RICH

Mary Rich, 84 of Flat Rock, IL, died at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born December 31, 1921 in York, IL the daughter of Miles Murphy and Goldie Liston Murphy. She was a homemaker, a member of the Katherine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the South Union Church, rural Flat Rock.

Mary married Billy C. Watts in July of 1939 and he preceded her in death in January of 1941. She then married Orville "Jack" Rich December 24, 1945 and he preceded her on September 9, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Perry Murphy and George Murphy; and her 2 sisters, Halene Mitchell and Eva Murphy.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathy Watts, Robinson; 2 grandchildren, Deborah ( Jeffery) Mrozinski, Glendale Heights and Kenneth Watts II, Wheaton, IL; her great granddaughter, Sarah Mrozinski, Glendale Heights; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the South Union Church, rural Flat Rock, IL. Brother Jack Cunningham is in charge of services. Burial is in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 13th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Flat Rock and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the South Union Church with envelopes available at the funeral home and the church.
