WANDA DALE WALLS
Wanda Dale Walls, 72 of Palestine, IL, died at 7:43 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born December 16, 1933 in Hutsonville, IL, the daughter of Jess Robert Johnson and Martha Levon Cummins Johnson. She was a homemaker; attended the New Hebron Baptist Church and the Outer West Market Church of Christ; was a member and Vice President of the Palestine Eagles Women's Auxiliary; and a member of the Red Hat Society.
She married Charles Darrell Walls on August 5, 1956 and he preceded her in death on February 11, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Edward and Robert Johnson.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Mary Ann Walls, Palestine and Delmar and Linda Walls, Robinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Twila and Garland Murphy, Palestine; 10 grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and JoAnn Johnson, Saunemin, IL; her sister, Betty Englum, Paris, IL; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Carol Walls, Tallahassee, FL; 2 sister-in-law, Lois Walls, Jacksonville, FL and Janice Johnson, Marshall; and her aunt, Opal Burkett, Palestine.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22nd at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Brother Jack Clay is in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and until service time on Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Eagles Women's Auxiliary with envelopes at the funeral home.
