MARILYN JEAN WESNER

Marilyn Jean Wesner, 73, of Palestine, IL, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, July 9, 2006 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born January 18, 1933 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Max Houser and Bernice Moore Houser. She was a Registered Nurse for Schmidt Clinic and Crawford Memorial Hospital and retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of Royal Neighbors and Grace United Methodist Church.

She married Darrell Wesner September 13, 1951 and he preceded her in death October 1, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, James Houser.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Major Doug and Kori Wesner, Ely, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Barbara Hanley, Lincoln and Marlene Russell, Palestine; 1 brother, Joe Houser, Palestine; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Pastor Ruth White officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
