Bernadine Shoot, 95, of Marshall died at 6:15 a.m. on March 10, 2012 at the Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall. She was born April 15, 1916 in West Union, IL, the daughter of George McCollum & Opal Yargus McCollum. She worked as an inspector at Zenith and TRW for several years. She was also a member of the Charleston, IL Ladies Auxiliary & American Legion.She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands, Andrew Covich in 1960 and Mac Shoot in 1978; her two brothers, Alfred and Woodrow McCollum; and one sister, Anna Jean Shaffner.She is survived by her two daughters, Earis 'Liz' Cochran & Margaret Ann Dolan; her grandsons, Jeffrey Cochran and Stanley Dolan II; her great-grandchildren, Kevin Cochran, Laura Cochran, and Harris Dolan; her special nieces, Marilyn Collier and Mary Lou Tuttle; as well as several other nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in Bradbury Cemetery, rural West York. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
