Elizabeth "Liz" Cooley

Elizabeth €œLiz€ Cooley, 83 of Robinson, IL, died at 3:48 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born March 5, 1929 in Martin Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Charles Dunlap and Lillie Snyder Dunlap. She had worked for Ettlebrick Shoe Co for over 25 years and then was employed at Victor Dana Co. for 26 years in production. She was a member of the Robinson Free Methodist Church.€œLiz€ married Oral Cooley on October 5, 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Kenneth, Willard, and William Dunlap; her sister, Marian Catt; and her granddaughter, Lisa Cooley.Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Linda Cooley, Flat Rock, Larry Cooley, Robinson, and Doug and Debbie Cooley, Robinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Greg Johnson, Robinson; 5 grandchildren, Tony Cooley, Matt Cooley, Heather Cox, Kayla Johnson, and Evan Johnson; 9 great grandchildren; a special friend, €œBud€ Baker, Robinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Sandra Dunlap, Lawrenceville. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Mildred Hess, Robinson, Mary Guess, Robinson, Sara Maus, Oblong, and June Johnson, Robinson; and her sister-in-law, Marian Dunlap, Lawrenceville, IL.There will be cremation with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to service time at 7:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorials may be made to the Robinson Free Methodist Church and left at the Goodwine Funeral Home or mailed to the Church.
