Francis Eugene “Hank” Clark, 89, of rural Palestine, IL, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital. He was born March 6, 1920 in Fairbanks Township, IN, the son of Carl Clark and Pearl Meyer Clark. He was an automotive mechanic. Hank served in the U. S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, Oblong, IL.Hank married Beulah Rogers April 12, 1941 and she survived. He is also survived by his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, William Eugene and Pamela Clark, Coal City, IN, James Lynn and Melba Kay Clark, rural Palestine; his daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Lee and Will Deems, Evansville, IN; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Hazel Howe, Watseka, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents, and 7 brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m. on Monday, March 16th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Pastor Rodney Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 15th. Memorials may be made to the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
