Gary Wilson, 66, of Robinson, IL, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born December 18, 1948 in Robinson, IL, the son of Ocie J. Wilson & Opal Vernia Wilson. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic with the 101st Airborne Delta Devils. He was the owner/operator of Painter Fork Enterprises since 1980 and dedicated his life to growing his business and his family. Gary was passionate about all things aviation. He has been a licensed pilot since 1987, and spent quite a bit of time in his Cessna 182 RG. He also worked with Young Eagles to encourage local youth to be involved with aviation. He was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and took many trips over the years. He married Charlotta Butcher on September 11th, 1976, and she survives of Robinson. He is also survived by his son, Matthew Wilson (Robinson, IL) daughter & son-in-law, Jessica Williams, JD & Dr. Andy Williams (Indianapolis, IN) and sister, Barbara Holden (Spring Lake, Michigan). He was preceded in death by his parents. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7th at the funeral home with Ron Price officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Transportation Fund or to the Salvation Army, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
