Kay "Katie" Crane

Kay €œKatie€ Crane, 62, of rural Robinson died at 1:53 p.m. on October 26, 2011 in the comfort of her home. She was born on June 2, 1949 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Clifford Beard and Ruth Randolph Beard. Katie was a housewife, and also worked for the Robinson Gas Company, the Farm Bureau, and the Robinson Daily News. She was also very active in Crawford County 4H and was a LABO exchange coordinator for several years.She married Lyle Crane on November 27, 1970 and he survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenni & Sarah Crane (Robinson, IL); two daughters and sons-in-laws, Wendi & Tony Reynolds (Clarksville, TN) and Samantha & Ben Gaither (Sumner, IL); four granddaughters, Tayler Reynolds, Brittney Reynolds, Makenzie Gaither, and Haley Gaither; one grandson, Avery Crane; her mother, Ruth Beard; her sister, Pattie Anderson; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Beard and her grandparents.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 30th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and to the Crawford County Extension- 4H Association
