Lowdemia Zora Nethery, 89, of North Vernon, IN passed away August 18, 2014 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 16, 1925 in Old York, IL, the daughter of Clifford “Jack” Daugherty and Helen M. Medeke Daugherty. Lowdemia was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in North Vernon, IN and enjoyed sharing her love for God and His Word with all. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidery and word searches. She married Wayne D. Nethery on August 22, 1959 and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Fred, Ron, Gene, Earl, Don and George and two sisters, Mary Ellis and Dorothy Haenig; also two grandsons. She is survived by three sisters, Elsie Shotts, Bertha Clark and and Pat Ogle; seven children, Ena Bradford of Marshall, IL, Paula Shetler of Marshall, IL, Bill Nethery of Marshall, IL, Jenny Bierbaum, of Champaign, IL, Anita Heleine of Martinsville, IL, Phyllis and her husband Steve LaCroix of West Union, IL and Demia and her husband Carl Auten Jr. of North Vernon, IN; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Central Time (1:00 pm Eastern) on Saturday, August 23rd at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL. Burial will follow at the York Cemetery in Old York, IL. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am Central Time (11:00am Eastern) until time of service at the funeral home. A memorial talk will also be given at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, North Vernon, IN on August 24, 2014 at 3:00 pm Eastern Time (2:00 pm Central). Memorial Contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
