Nellie Belle Manning

Nellie Belle Manning, 89, of Willow Hill died at 9:10 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2012 at St. Anthony€™s Memorial Hospital, Effingham, IL. She was born April 28, 1922 in Willow Hill, the daughter of John R. Manning and Martha Ann Hurt Manning. She had a passion for nature, especially trees and flowers.She is survived by three nieces, Mary Ann McWhorter (Newton), Dorothy Zollars (Olney), and Martha Venatta (Robinson); seven great nieces and nephews; as well as 15 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James F. Manning and George C. Manning; and three sisters, Lois Jane Manning, Zella Caroline Manning, and Maude Shipman.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, rural Oblong. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
