Randall Norman Nidey

Randall Norman Nidey, 87, of Robinson, IL, died at 7:25 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. He was born May 6, 1924 in Hutsonville, IL, the son of Russell Nidey and Chloe Ingle Nidey. He was a truck driver for Heath Candy Company for 43 years retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church.Randall married Dorothy Kline on June 16, 1951 and she preceded him in death on October 17, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dick Nidey; his sister and brother-in-law, June and Jim Maxwell; and his brother-in-law, George Murray.He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Nidey, Robinson; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Randall Lee and Jill Nidey, Stoy, Kenneth and Michele Nidey, Robinson, Gary and Kathy Nidey, Robinson; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Josh and Stephanie Rodgers, Stephanie Baker, Jessie and Spud Ault, Nathan and Taryn Nidey, Tiffany, Tara, TeNeal and Taylor Pinkston, Jacob and Caleb Nidey, Sean and Matt Nidey, J. J. Murphy, Mandi and Dana Lindley, Ashley and Matt Withrow; 5 great grandchildren, Macie, Josey, Tenley, Nick and Drew: his sister, Betty Murray, Utah; his sister-in-law, Geneva Nidey; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. John Brand officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Sports Booster Club with envelopes available at the funeral home.
