Virginia Nichols

Virginia Nichols, 90 of Robinson, IL, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1921 in Harlan, KY, the daughter of Charles Mitchell and Abbigail Middleton Mitchell. Virginia was a homemaker.She is survived by her daughter Kathy Johnson, Robinson; her son and daughter-in-law, Ova and Gae Nichols, Manassas, VA; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; her two brothers, John Mitchell, Eldorado and Oscar Mitchell Harlan, KY; 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Edith Ingle, Harlan, KY and Ann and Earnest Goggs, Harlan, KY; and several nieces and nephews.Virginia married Henry Nichols on March 15, 1939 and he preceded her in death on February 7, 1985. She was also preceded by her parents; 2 daughters, Henrietta Garrard and Joann Nichols; and her son Billy Gene Nichols.Visitation will be at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson Wednesday, July 25th from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Don Williamson in charge. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery.
