Amma "Nell" Hill

Amma €œNell€ Hill, 88 of Flat Rock, IL, died at 12:50 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson, IL. She was born August 17, 1924 in Earlington, KY, the daughter of Clifton Poole and Laura Couch Poole. She was a homemaker and used to run the auction barn in Flat Rock. She loved fishing and shopping.Nell married William E. Hill on December 31, 1958 and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Ruth Phillips; and two brothers, Jim Poole and Harlen Poole.She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Delores Vaughn, Richmond, IN, Bob and Kathy Vaughn, Kenner, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Ron and Lori Vaughn, Richmond, IN, Ted and Nicki Vaughn, Robinson, Patty and David Isaacs, Hagerstown, IN, Steve and April Vaughn, Castlewood, VA, Bobby Vaughn, Billy Vaughn, and Janet Marten all of Louisiana; 13 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Corine Edwards, Oregon; and her niece and her husband, Jo and Ivan Hoalt, Flat Rock.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Flat Rock, IL with Rev. Gene Beard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Vincennes, IN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 28th at the funeral home.
