Amy Sue Moore

Amy Sue Moore, 41, of Palestine, IL, died at 12:36 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at her home in Palestine. She was born June 10, 1975 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Charles Henry Moore & Diana Sue (Pethtel) Moore. Amy attended school in Oblong, and made many friends there. Following school, she worked for a number of businesses, including the Convalescent Center and Tempco, among others. Away from work, she enjoyed spending time outside, and could often be found fishing, four-wheeling, camping, and spending time around the camp fire. Her boys were her life, and they gave her great joy in life. She is survived by her father, Charles Henry Moore; by her two sons, Chance and Brantlee; by her brother & sister-in-law, Charles & Traci Moore (Robinson, IL); by her step-brothers & step-sisters-in-law, Todd & Mitzi Hanson (Stoy, IL) and Troy & Heather Hanson (West York, IL); and by her step-father, Michael & Cindy Hanson (Robinson, IL). Amy was preceded in death by her son, Chase in infancy; by her mother, Diana Hanson; by her paternal grandparents, Francis & Bethel Moore; by her maternal grandparents, Winfred & Patricia Pethtel; and by her sisters Lisa and Teresa in infancy. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21st at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial following in the Shire Cemetery. Celebrant Curt Goodwine will officiate the service. Memorials may be made to the Amy Moore Memorial fund, with checks to be made to “Goodwine Funeral Homes”. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
