Barbara Pauline (Moore) Brimberry

Barbara Pauline (Moore) Brimberry, 90, of Houston, TX, formerly of Palestine, IL, died at 9:00 a.m. on March 26, 2017 at Legend Oaks Healthcare in Houston. She was born March 3, 1927 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Louis & Lucinda Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Charles Brimberry on December 14, 1948 and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jenifer Jo in 1971; by her son, Charles Edward "Buster" in 2002; by her three sisters, Margaret Miller, Lucille Shidler, and Louise Moore; and by her three brothers, Obert Moore, Francis Moore, and Gussie Moore. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Teresa & Michael Walsh (Houston, TX); by six grandchildren; by several great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Pauline was a 1945 graduate of Robinson High School. She dedicated much of her life to being a wife and homemaker and enjoyed it thoroughly. She also took great pleasure in growing and arranging flowers, and was an active member of the Garden Club in Palestine. She was also a longtime member of the Palestine First Christian Church. Over the years, she was known to have worked countless jigsaw puzzles, and loved the challenge of solving them. More than anything, Pauline simply enjoyed spending time with her beloved husband and their family. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31st at the Palestine Cemetery, with Pastor Dennis Steckley officiating the service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with envelopes available at the cemetery and funeral home.
