Bea Goodwin

Beatrice €œBea€ Goodwin, 94, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:15 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home. She was born March 25, 1918 in Albion, IL, the daughter of John L. Elkins and Mary Sabrina Moomaw Elkins. She worked at L. S. Heath for 28 years retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson, the Robinson American Legion Post # 69 Auxiliary, and a former member of the Women of the Moose.Bea married Donald W. Goodwin on November 23, 1939 and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Irene Ryerson and Margaret Pleasant; and her brother, John S. ElkinsShe is survived by her 2 sisters, Thelma Lowe, Robinson, and Maxine Harrison, Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Bessie Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday preceding the services at the funeral home.
