Benny R. French

Benny R. French, 77, of West Union, IL, died at 3:48 p.m. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born February 26, 1931 in Effingham, IL, the son of Rufus French and Sarah Beaver French. He was owner/operator of French Sanitation for 45 years. He married Judith L. Grupe April 27, 1983 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Steve Pulsfort, Effingham, his son, Ryan French, Effingham; his stepchildren, David Stewart, Hawaii, Charlene Hopkings, Hawaii, Deb Duckworth, Effingham, Tina Lewis, Altamont, 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifford and Mary French, Salem, Don and Jan French, Effingham, Steve and Kathy French, Effingham; 4 sisters, Sandy Sloan, Clinton, Barbara Cade, Ramsey, Karen Hurst, and Hazel Sandburg, Rockford.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half brother, Dale Stewart.Following cremation graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Darwin Cemetery, rural Darwin, IL with Brother Don Russell officiating. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home, West Union is in charge of arrangements services.
