Bessie Lorene Postlewait

Bessie Lorene Postlewait, 89, of Palestine, died at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 in the comfort of her residence. She was born January 16, 1924 in Oblong, the daughter of Arthur Cummins & Hattie (Mendenhall) Cummins. She loved to tend to her garden and enjoyed watching birds around her house.She married Earl €œHuff€ Postlewait and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1984. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Glen, Raymond, Rosco, Lloyd, and Ralph Cummins; 3 sisters, Helen Shotts, Marge Green, and Pauline Lange; her son, Wayne Tennyson; and her grandson, Randy Tennyson.She is survived by her daughter, Imogene Ziegler; 5 grandchildren, Terry Tennyson, Howard Ziegler, Rick Ziegler, Bill Tennyson, and Debra King; several great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1st at the Palestine Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of services. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
