Betty Ruth Haak

Betty Ruth Haak, 87, of Robinson, IL, died at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, IL. She was born December 10, 1927 in Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of Willard Clark & Grace Duron Clark, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Lester E. Holmes who died in 1978. Betty then married Bob Cox on August 14, 1987, and he preceded her in death on January 28, 1999. She was then married to Irvin Haak from June 16, 2001 until his death on October 4, 2009. She was also preceded in death by three sons in infancy; by her brothers, Wayne Clark and Don Clark; and by her sisters, Carolyn Montgomery, Mildred Newman, and Margaret Pluta. Betty is survived by her brother, Gene Clark (Steger, IL); by her sister-in-law, Sue Clark (Farmersburg, IN); by her step-children, Marta & Gary Ellcessor (Shelbyville, KY) and Chris Bridges (Lakewood, CO); as well as several nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Friday, December 11th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 11:00 a.m. with her son-in-law, Rev. Gary Ellcessor officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Highland Ave Baptist Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
