Billy Dean Wisdom

Billy Dean Wisdom, 78, of Kansas, IL died at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013 in the comfort of his residence. He was born on November 3, 1934 in Salem, MO, the son of Ellis Wisdom & Mary (Patterson) Wisdom. He worked in the barrel house at Marathon for several years before his retiring. Bill loved fishing and mushroom hunting, passions that he enjoyed for several years. He also loved listening to George Jones and was very skilled at shooting pool. He enjoyed having coffee with his coffee buddies, but most of all, he loved his kids and grandkids.On June 15, 1956, he married Carolyn Williams, and she preceded him in death on March 22, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Louie Wisdom; and his son, Randy Wisdom.He is survived by 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Vicky & Robert Adams (Kansas), Mary & Paul Collins (Robinson); his daughter-in-law, Diana Wisdom, Evansville, IN; his 3 sons & daughters-in-law, Ellis Dean & Mary Wisdom (Olney), Bill & Tammy Wisdom (Robinson), Steven Bradley Wisdom (Kansas); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Velma Thompson and Betty Culpepper; as well as several nieces and nephews.Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Mound Cemetery.
