Billy R. Rector

Billy R. Rector, 78, of Robinson, died at 3:43 p.m. (EST) on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. He was born February 21, 1934 in Lola, KY, the son of Cleatus O. Rector and Eula Myrick Rector. Billy was a member of the Sons of the V. F. W. Post #4549 and the Gold Prospectors of America. He went to Arizona every year to prospect for gold.Billy married Patsy Jane Van Schoyck in 1952 and she preceded him in death on May 11, 1984. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his great granddaughter, Alexis Rector; and his sister, Patsy Rector O€™Bryant.He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila M. Rector-Iknayan and Dr. Herb Iknayan, (Robinson); his son and daughter-in-law, Cleatus and Karen Rector, (Robinson); his grandchildren, Blaine & Jeff Hayden (Indianapolis, IN), Aletha and Craig Daniel (Titusville, FL), Bill E. and Ann Rector, (Katy, TX), and Chris and Jennifer Rector, (Fort Irwin, CA); 12 great grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Phyllis Damron, (Mt. Vernon); his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bob Hutchen, (O€™Fallon, MO); and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by dear friend, Mary Vogel (Toledo, OH).Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Mike Irvin officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Annapolis. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25th at the funeral home.
