Bobby Wayne Inboden

Bobby Wayne Inboden, of Huffman, Texas, formerly of Palestine, Illinois, passed away November 1, 2014 in Humble, Texas. He was buried in the Huffman Cemetery in Texas on November 5th. He was born May 3, 1938 in Robinson, Illinois to Fay and Audrey Mae Inboden. Bob served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1961. He was in the 2nd Armored Division and the 101st Airborne Division and stationed in Mainz, Germany then Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Bob was a retired ironworker, but also was a crane operator and safety manager for several different companies in the south and west United States. Bob was member of IUOE Local #406, New Orleans, Louisiana and a lifetime member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #3329 in Palestine IL. Bob is survived by his wife, Pamela Inboden of Huffman, Texas, his daughters, Ramona (Bill) Knoblett, Jayne Fuller, Susan Ballard, and Marie Hurst; his son Steven “Cub” (Christa) Inboden; his step-daughter, Elizabeth Flournoy; his step-son, David Flournoy; 12 grandchildren, Christina Smith, Joseph Patterson, Jeremiah Patterson, Clint Fuller, Wade Fuller, Krystle Riggle, Colt Ballard, Logan Hurst, Mason Hurst, Audrey Inboden, Max Inboden, Marcus Inboden; his step-grandson, Cameron Flournoy; 16 great-grandchildren; his brothers Richard Inboden and Kenneth Inboden; and his sister, Joann Mattix. He is also survived by his first wife and mother of his children Anita (Inboden) Carroll, of Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fay and Audrey Mae Inboden; brothers, Bill, Jack and Jerry Inboden; sister Laura June Inboden; son-in-law, Mike Hurst; and step-son, Jeff Flournoy. A visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with a memorial service following at 5:00 p.m. Celebrant Curt Goodwine will officiate the service, with Rose Ham to deliver the message. There will be an opportunity for family and friends to share their thoughts and memories as part of the memorial service. Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Transportation Fund, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
