Brad Gaddis, 55, of Palestine, IL, died at 12:06 a.m. (EST) on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born August 19, 1960 in Lawrenceville, IL, the son of Roscoe & Marcia Gaddis. He married Christala Bonesteel on January 10, 2003, and she survives. He is also survived by his four children, Kelsey Love (Vincennes, IN), Alissa Love (Palestine, IL), Gavin Love (Robinson, IL), and Morgan Kelly (Flat Rock, IL); by four grandchildren, Trey Queen, Aubrey Queen, Oliver Nidey, and Mylah Love; by his mother, Marcia Gaddis (Flat Rock, IL); by three brothers & sisters-in-law, Roscoe & Janice Gaddis (Robinson, IL), Greg & Penny Gaddis (Flat Rock, IL), and Patrick Gaddis (Palestine, IL); by his sister, Debra Alumbaugh (Palestine, IL); several nieces and nephews; and by dear family friend, Brad Bloomer. He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe in 1994. Brad was a 1978 graduate of Palestine High School. He went on to work as a supervisor at Victor Dana for 30 years. He loved his job, and this was evident in the work he did, and the co-workers he touched. He had a huge heart, but did his best to keep people from knowing it by putting on a tough exterior. He will long be remembered as a jokester, and nearly every one of his many friends can attest that he also enjoyed giving people nicknames. He will also be remembered for his love of Gatlinburg, TN, and for the love and undying support he gave to his family. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. A memorial service will follow the visitation and will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Relay for Life, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
