Bruce Arthur Polk

Bruce Arthur Polk, 64, of Robinson, IL, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2017 at the Community First Medical Center in Chicago IL. He was born on September 13th 1952 in Sullivan, IN, the son of Florence Mae (Douthitt) Polk & Arthur William Polk, both of whom preceded him in death. Bruce graduated from Palestine High School in 1970 and spent his life as a mechanic and truck driver. He spent his spare time with his children, on his motorcycle, taking naps with his grand-dog Jake, or with his work family at the Liquor Rack in Robinson. Bruce was survived by two sons & daughters-in-law, Andrew & Shana Polk (Indianapolis, IN) and Zachary & Kasey Polk (Ragsdale, IN); and by one daughter, Jessie Polk (Robinson, IL). He was also survived by his sister, Brenda (Polk) Brush (Robinson, IL); and half-sister, Phyllis Neer (Lawrenceville, IL). Bruce leaves behind six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21st, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Celebrant Curt Goodwine will officiate the services.
