Burl D Wesley

Burl D. Wesley, 77, of rural Flat Rock, IL, died at 5:43 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1934 in Honey Creek Township, the son of Charles Burl Wesley and Florence Dunlap Wesley. He was a sprayer at Briggs for 35 years retiring 1996. He was a member of the South Union Church.Burl married Norma €œSis€ Butcher on September 14, 1959 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Greta and Rick Tracy, Flat Rock; his grandchildren, Mitzi and David Decker, Flat Rock, Jason Reed, Flat Rock; his great grandchildren, Jessica Reed, Mara Decker, Jenna Decker; 5 sisters and his brother-in-law, Norma Butcher, Flat Rock, Patty Midgett, Flat Rock, Shirley Walker, Palestine, Wanda Redman, Flat Rock, Donna and Larry Keeler, Flat Rock; his sister-in-law, Norma Mendhall, Palestine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother and sisters, Barbara Wesley, Billy Joe Wesley, and Pauline Snider. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the South Union Church, rural Flat Rock with Brother Jack Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 21st at the South Union Church. Memorials may be made to the South Union Church with envelopes available at the church.
