Robert Carl €œPod€ Tuttle, 94, of Robinson died at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. He was born July 14, 1919 in Robinson, the son of Benjamin Perry Tuttle & Emma Martin Tuttle. He worked for L.S. Heath & Sons for 45 years. A man of faith, Pod was very active in his church, Robinwood Assembly of God. At Robinwood, he served as a deacon for 25 years, as well as serving as a Sunday school teacher and a door greeter for many years. He enjoyed spending time in his woodshop, where he hand crafted several birdhouses.On March 5, 1937, he married Vera Pearl Montgomery, and she preceded him in death on September 11, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son, Larry Dean Tuttle; his brothers and sisters, Katie Tuttle, Cora Fuller, Effie Steinson, Ernest Tuttle, Edward Tuttle, Roy Tuttle, Wayne Tuttle, and Dorothy Rosborough.He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Phillip & Ruth Tuttle (Robinson); his daughter-in-law, Judy Tuttle (Avon, IN); three grandchildren, Lisa, Terry, and Timothy Tuttle; four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 4th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Pastor Jim Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Robinwood Assembly of God Church.
