Carol Jeanne Watts, 67 of Robinson, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care after a long battle with cancer. She was born November 19, 1945 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of John Thomas Watts and Geneva Irene Bowen Watts. She was a retired first grade teacher at the Oblong Grade School for 29 years. She was devoted to her students and her €œkids€ were a constant source of joy, inspiration and role model throughout her career.Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geneva Watts; and her great nephew, Shane Williamson.She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jim Grieves, Robinson; her niece and her husband, Dara and Kevin Williamson, Robinson; 2 nephews, both of Robinson, Mike Weaver and J. T. and his wife, Amanda Weaver; 3 great nephews, Kristopher Wilson, Robinson, Jacob Weaver, Palestine, and Braden Williamson, Robinson; and great niece, Jessica Miller, Robinson.It was Carol€™s wish to be cremated and to have a private family service at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Dwight McDaniel officiating.For any who wish, memorials may be made to the Oblong Academic Foundation with envelopes at the funeral home.
