Catherine Findley

Catherine Findley, 101, of Clarksville, IL, died at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall, IL. She was born February 21, 1916 in Clarksville, the daughter of Wes & Frances (Chaney) Millhouse, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Mack Findley in 1935, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Barney Millhouse and George Millhouse; and by her sister, Martha Buckner. She is survived by her nephews, Robert & wife Barbara Buckner, John Millhouse, and Mike Millhouse; by a special great-niece, Elise & John Pratt; by a special great-nephew, Timothy Buckner; and by a great-great-nephew, Wesley Pratt. Catherine was a 1934 graduate of Marshall High School. She was a homemaker, and was an excellent seamstress. There simply wasn’t a thing she couldn’t sew together. She also enjoyed collecting antiques and travelling all over the U.S. with Mack, with whom she has finally been reunited. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18th at the Clarksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Clarksville Cemetery, with envelopes available at the graveside service. The Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL is in charge of arrangements.
