Chantal Jolee Kimberlin

Chantal JoLee Kimberlin, 21, of Graysville, IN, formerly of Palestine, IL, became a little angel in Heaven on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Saint Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born March 3, 1993 in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of James 'J.D.' Kimberlin & Amy (Clark) Kimberlin. She attended and was a 2011 graduate of Palestine High School, where she was a member of the Palestine High School Softball and Golf Teams. After graduating high school, 'Shon Shon' or “Jo” (as she was known to her friends) went on to Illinois College for a time, with whom she had a golf scholarship. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed. She will be remembered for her love of softball and everything outdoors, as well as couponing (which she was known to take to extremes). More than anything, Chantal loved being around those she loved, and who loved her in return, from her family and friends to her pets. She is survived by her fianc, Tyler Thompson, with whom she has been engaged since December 2013. She is also survived by her father & step-mother, James “J.D.” and JoAnn Kimberlin; her mother and her significant other, Amy (Clark) Kimberlin and Bill Miller; her sister, Bethany Kimberlin; her half-brother Cody Miller, her grandparents, Sharon & Frank Draper and Jeril & Yvonna Clark and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her son in infancy, Wesley Jakob Thompson on January 18, 2013, and her grandfather, Jim Kimberlin, grandparents Albert and Helen Miller and Uncle Jason (Jake) Miller. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17th 2015 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Burial will follow at the East Union Cemetery, rural Palestine. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Palestine Grant In Aid Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
