Charleen Roy

Charleen Roy, 50, of Robinson, IL, died Monday, June 15, 2015 in Hot Springs, AR. She was born July 16, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Charles Roy & Wilma Dean Kent, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her best friend and partner, Jeffrey Davis (Robinson, IL); her sons Robert & wife Kasey Latta (NC), and Shawn Whitworth (Kansas City, MO); her granddaughter, Jaedyn Latta; Jeff’s children, Shawn Davis (Robinson, IL) and Nicole Davis (Robinson, IL); her sisters & brothers-in-law, Janice & Dale Muzingo (Platte City, MO) and Teresa & Jeff Whitworth (Kansas City, MO); as well as several nieces and nephews. Charleen graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing from Lincoln Trail College in Robinson. She went on to work as a nurse at the Robinson Correctional Center, where she served as union steward for a time. In her free time, she spent much of her time riding with Jeff on their Harley Davidson. She also enjoyed many weekends camping at the Lincoln Trail State Park or watching football on Sunday afternoons. She will be remembered for her kindness and for her constant, infectious smile. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Cremation will follow the service and her cremated remains will be spread at a later date. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
