Charles L. Tohill, 92, of Bridgeport, IL, formerly of Crawford County, IL, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Lawrence Community Health Center, Bridgeport, IL. He was born April 18, 1916 in Montgomery Township, Crawford County, IL, the sonCharles Tohill and Mary Magill Tohill. He was a carpenter and served in the US Army in Europe. He is survived by 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Norma Tohill, Russellville, Donald and Lila Tohill, rural Lawrenceville, and Edward Tohill, Flat Rock; his sister, Rose Marie Taggart, Arlington, VA; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Lewis Tohill and William Tohill; 1 sister, Maxine Tohill; and a half sister, Mary Lindsey.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Flat Rock with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday preceding the services.
