Christine Rich

Christine Rich, 88 of Robinson, IL, died at 1:50 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born February 3, 1923 in Honey Creek Township, IL the daughter of Willard Rich and Elizabeth Weger Rich. She worked for Curtiss-Wright in St. Louis during WWII and was a supervisor at L. S. Heath for over 30 years. Christine was an active member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and the Democratic Women. Christine loved the game of basketball and played the sport years before women€™s teams became popular.Christine is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine & James McGovern (St. Louis), and Deloris €œEm€ & Richard Inboden (Robinson); 16 nieces and nephews, Larry Jo Rich, Rita Garrard, Linda McKee, Jeannie Adams, Sherry Skidmore, Fayrene Wright, Teresa Mullins, Loretta Whalen, Greg Rich, Mike Rich, Doug McGovern, Dawn McGovern, Randy Inboden, Cathy Inboden, Brian Inboden, and Glenda White.She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, James, Ellis, Charles, and Carl Rich; 3 sisters, Laura Taylor, Mary Wilma Rich (in infancy), and Ada Pauline €œPeg€ Rich; and her niece, Susie Wesley.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Food Pantry,to Meals on Wheels or to the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ with envelopes available at the funeral home.
