Clark Martin

Clark Martin, 72, of Robinson, IL, died at 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the comfort of his home. He was born August 4, 1943 in La Porte, IN, the son of Henry Martin & Mona Grubb Martin, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Patricia Anne Metcalf in 1962, and she too preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Henrietta (Martin) Smith, Helen Delaine Martin, and Mary Ann Martin; by his brother, Henry James Martin II; and by his granddaughter, Johnie Danielle Jones. Clark married Marie Clark on March 15, 1980, and she survives. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Lou Martin (La Porte, IN); by his son, Robby Eugene Martin (La Porte, IN); by his daughters, Kristine Rene (Martin) Snyder (La Porte, IN) and Rhonda Kay (Martin) Lain (La Porte, IN); by his step-son, Terry Leon Clark (La Porte, IN); by two step-grandchildren; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Clark loved music, and played the harmonica and guitar. He was also an avid professional wrestling fan who hardly missed a show. He will be remembered for his brave fight with cancer over the final days of his life. Clark will be cremated with services to be held in La Porte at a later date. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
