Cleo Correll

Cleo Correll, 87 of Batavia, IL, formerly of Hutsonville and Collinsville, IL, died at 11:03 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Holmstad, Batavia, IL. She was born February 11, 1923 the daughter of R C. Hunt and Bonnie (Dunn) Hunt. Once an avid reader and St. Louis Cardinal Fan, Cleo was also a devoted and long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Collinsville, where she was involved on a variety of committees and activities to include the Dorcas Club and Meals on Wheels.Cleo married Nolan Edgar Correll and he preceded her in death in November 1974. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Lorette Overby and Lois Gordon; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Correll.She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, John (Ellen) Correll, Bartlett, James (Pat) Correll, Town & Country, MO, Tom (Julie) Correll, Downers Grove; and 8 grandchildren, Thomas, Lauren, Colleen, Andrew, Bryan, Annie, Ian, and Chase.Family graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Newlin Cemetery, rural Robinson, IL with Rev. Max Borah officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
