Clifford "Tip" Inboden

Cliff €œTip€ Inboden, 72 of rural Palestine, IL died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN Wednesay, November, 23, 2011 at 8:51 p. m. (EST) following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born July 21, 1939 in Robinson, the son of Clifford €œMike€ Inboden and Mary Rich Inboden. Cliff was a millwright working in construction and he owned and operated Inboden€™s Marathon Station on Main Street in Palestine for several years. He was a member of the Outer West Market Church of Christ and a member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849. He was a volunteer fireman for LaMotte Township Fire Department; a member of the Palestine Park Board, and was the local weatherman for Crawford County for the National Weather Bureau. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.Cliff married Sue Rennirt on October 18, 1969 and she survives. He is also survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Terri Inboden, Oblong, Dusty and Heather Inboden, Salem, AR; 4 daughters and sons-in 'law, Carla and Troy Hart, Annapolis, Lisa McCormick, Camby, IN, Ronda Inboden and her fiance`, Tony Morales, Linton, IN, and Lorie and Bud Woods, Palestine; 9 grandchildren, Jordan, Shauna, Skyla, Dakota, Kayla, Madison, Paige, Kyle and Nathan. He is also survived by his 2 brothers, Bob Inboden and his friend, Nancy Cabrill, Flat Rock and Roger €œButch€ Inboden, Robinson; his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia €œPat€ and Burl Rich, Flat Rock; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Donald €œDoc€ and Dorothy Inboden; an infant brother, Ronald Inboden; an infant sister, Barbara Inboden.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26th at the Outer West Market Church of Christ with Rev. John Brand in charge. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Church. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 P. M. by the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849. Memorials may be made to the Shriner€™s Hospital for Children or to the Toys for Tots in care of the LaMotte Township Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the Church. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
