Clista Cleetis O'Dell

Clista O€™Dell, 100, of Robinson, IL died at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Crawford County Convalescent Center. She was born April 29, 1912 in Rosehill, the daughter of Charles Auteberry & Mina Yingst Auteberry. She was a professional cook, and used this skill all of her life, including twelve years at the Sky Scraper Caf and thirteen years at the Elks. She was a wonderful mother who raised eleven children was loved by her entire family.She married Elda €œEd€ O€™Dell August 30, 1930 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Norma Lee Shaffer; her son, Oren O€™Dell; three grandsons; one grandson-in-law; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-granddaughter; five sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; four brothers; and three sisters.She is survived by her children, Jean Parkes (Robinson), Rowena Watson (Palestine), Lulu (Jim) Finney (Oblong), Darlene Schuchmann (Springfield), Donna Binder (Robinson), Gary O€™Dell (Robinson), Bill (Becky) O€™Dell (Flat Rock), Jake O€™Dell (Robinson), Twyla and(John) Boa,(Robinson); twenty-six grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; nineteen great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jo (Dean) Hawes (Greenup), and Grace Stevens (Cash, AR); and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 8th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7th at the funeral home.
