Clyde Alan Lackey

Clyde Alan Lackey, 94, of Robinson, IL, died at 11:20 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. He was born October 7, 1920 in Oblong Township, the son of Richard D. Lackey & Lela Mae Martin Lackey. Clyde married Lillie Irene Upchurch on October 17, 1942, and she preceded him in death on November 11, 1982. He was also preceded in death by his parents; by his son Harold Eugene Lackey in infancy; and by three brothers & sisters-in-law, Virgil Lyle & Lola Lackey, Alva & Doris Lackey, and Earl & Helen Lackey. He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Alan & Doris Lackey (rural Robinson, IL); his step-daughter & son-in-law, Kristi & Dean Bennett (Casey, IL); his step-son, Bill & Tracey Carlin (Casey, IL); ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Clyde worked in sheet metal as well as heating and air-conditioning, owning his own business from 1953-2004 (Clyde Lackey Heating). In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors by fishing, camping, and gardening. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A graveside service will follow the visitation and will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor George Meese officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Clyde Lackey Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to Goodwine Funeral Homes.
