Dale R. Miller

Dale R. Miller, 73, of Palestine, IL, passed away on April 23, 2022, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL, after a lingering illness. He was born in Palestine in 1948 at the Ikemire Clinic, the son of Forrest & Irene (Fuller) Miller. He grew up in the Morea area, living on a farm there from 1951 until 2016, when he moved to Palestine.

After graduating from Palestine High School, he attended Vincennes University for two years and then transferred to the University of Illinois. Here, he completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Animal Husbandry. After graduation, he continued farming in the Morea area. His great joy was farming the land and raising livestock. In April 1981, he married Johann Rodgers Sammons.

After moving to town, he spent countless happy hours working in his woodshop, making many projects.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Miller of Palestine and Ruth Ann Vokac of Bloomington, IL.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated and his remains scattered. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
